300 Hour Advanced Studies
Yoga Teacher Training
Join Tam Burke, Matt Gasmovic, and guest teachers on a journey into the practice of yoga.
Training Overview
Our 300-hour module-based Teacher Training program is designed for teachers and dedicated practitioners to take the next step in their training and expand further upon their yoga journey. Get ready to dive deep into the art of advanced teaching, sequencing & assisting, in-depth pranayama & meditation, energy work, yogic texts, integrated yoga anatomy, and so much more. This training is a guide to help you step into your power, find your voice, connect with your higher self, and feel empowered as a leader and teacher.
Within our modular system, there are required core modules that are offered over 6-weekends throughout the year. Outside of these modules you have the autonomy to choose your own path of education to complete your training hours based on what inspires you most. Selecting at minimum one elective from elements of Fire, Earth, Water, and Air you will have ample opportunity to balance your practice and finish our program at your pace.
The elective modules of this training are to be completed within two years from the start date. If this isn’t possible with your schedule, please reach out to our YTT staff here.
Upon completion of training, students with 200HR certification through Yoga Alliance will be eligible to register as 500HR RYT.
SOL 19 firmly believes in providing the highest quality education possible for our teachers and students. Our training is facilitated by highly trained and experienced yoga teachers, and professionals within their respective fields of work and study. Tam and Tay are the lead facilitators of our 300-hour program. They are joined by a team of guest teachers, all of which are masters in their field, E-RYT 500, or have doctorate degrees.

Intelligent sequencing and advanced assisting is an artform that will allow you to tap into your strength as a teacher, and help you to guide students safely and effectively. This two-part training is for yoga teachers looking to further develop their understanding of intelligent sequencing and gain more experience with hands-on adjustments in a safe and respectful way.
CURRICULUM:
- Teaching methodology: concise verbal cues, demonstrating safely and effectively, offering variations and modifications, and the art of assisting and adjusting while teaching
- Hands-on experience with in-depth adjustments beyond the foundations to help build confidence and understanding of what you’re doing, and knowing the “why” behind it
- Information and discussion on what it means to honor students’ boundaries and asking for consent
- Different qualities of touch: energetic assists, grounding for strength and ease, and safely supporting students in advanced postures and transitions such as arm balances, inversions, and postures rooted in deep flexibility
- How to intelligently sequence by prepping the body for peak postures and incorporating key energetic actions
- Using progressive sequencing to create accessibility to more challenging postures
- How to incorporate theming within your teaching to inspire students to connect their physical practice with their internal evolution of self
- Teaching with Sanskrit to inspire more confidence in your teaching, and to help students connect with traditional yogic roots
- Learn the subtle art of feedback and its importance for your development as a teacher, and those in your community
Tam and Taylor will lead a daily vinyasa practice that will offer a wide variety of sequencing styles, variations, and peak postures. After practice, we will break down the elements of each class and lead a discussion on what we did and why.
