Sally Williams

Yoga Teacher & Yoga Nidra Instructor

Sally is an All Levels yoga teacher and Yoga Nidra instructor.

Sally first found yogic philosophy, meditation, and asana while living in New York City as a teenager in the early aughts and began teaching yoga in 2011. She has been a student at SOL 19 for the past two years and is thrilled to teach all-levels flow classes at the studio.

In addition to teaching in studio settings, Sally has taught in jails, work release facilities, and to victims of domestic and sexual trauma. She earned a Trauma-Sensitive Yoga certification in 2013 and graduated with a Masters in Contemplative Psychotherapy and Buddhist Psychology from Naropa University in 2017. Sally integrates yogic tools and therapies into her psychotherapy and coaching practice and brings a wealth of clinical experience and understanding into her yoga teaching.

Sally’s classes include opportunities for students to come into deep relationship with their own minds, emotions, bodies, and breath while inviting humor and a light touch. She strives to make her classes trauma-informed and inclusive, and she is a big believer in using props and modifications to make the practice fit each student rather than the other way around.
